Sunday, June 28,  is Lakeside Swing at the Veterans Hall at Lake Merritt in Oakland .  Please look for it in its regular spot as the fourth Sunday of the month from 7-10:30 pm going forward!   There will be an intermediate WCS dance lesson from 6-7pm with Yenni Setiawan.  DJ Mike Pyle then presents a great mix of swing, hustle and more for general dancing. Saturday night, July 4 is the Next Generation Swing Dance Club monthly dance at Allegro Ballroom in Emeryville.  Dance starts at 6:00pm with DJ Mike Pyle. Friday, July 10, Bay West Ballroom presents an evening of west coast swing with owners Andrea Nelson-Novak (Co-Director), Mark Nelson-Novak (Director).  They will teach a West Coast Swing workshop on cool swing combinations, technique and enhance the skill set of serious swing dancers from 8-9 p.m in the main ballroom.     A beginners fundmentals class will run simultaneously in the Wee Studio.  There will be an all west coast swing dance from 9pm – 11pm.  This venue has a great sprung wood floor.  Bay West Ballroom is located at 1133 E. Saturday night, July 11, is the West Coast Swing “SWAG” Fundraiser Workshops at Warren and Yenni’s Warehouse in Novato.  The young adult WCS dancers, Sean McKeever, Tara Trafzer, Connor Goodmanson, Rome Slater and Chevy Slater have joined with 3 South Carolina Shag couples to form a “SWAG” competition team.  Please help them cover their travel expenses.  Come and take a workshop with them and help support young adult dancers.  There are 4 1-hour long workshops starting at 1pm in the afternoon with Sean, Tara, Connor, Rome and Chevy.  There will be an evening dance from 7:30-11:30 pm.
