Saturday night, July 2 is the Next Generation Swing Dance Club monthly dance at Allegro Ballroom in Emeryville. Dance starts at 6:00pm with Rupert Schroeder as DJ. There is a beginning WCS lesson from 7pm -8pm with Katherine Krok-Eastvold in the back room. There will be a mixed level Novice Special Strictly Swing contest. One of the partners must be a novice and the partner can be novice, intermediate, advanced or all-star (no Champions). Allegro is located at 5855 Christie Ave in Emeryville. Thursday June 30 through Monday July 4 is the Marin County Fair. Great music for dancing!. Thursday June 30 at 7:30 pm is Three Dog Night.

Sunday, July 3, New weekly WCS Dance Jam at Bay West Ballroom in San Rafael. Chanti Davis will teach an Intermediate Level West Coast Swing Class from 6-7 pm. An ALL SWING DANCE immediately following the lesson from 7-9pm. Cost is $15 for the lesson and the dance, $10 for the dance only. This venue has a great sprung wood floor. Saturday, July 9, is the Doc Kraft Band at the Seahorse Nightclub in Sausalito located at 305 Harbor @ Gate 5 in Sausalito (former Saylor’s Landing) from 8:30pm-12:30am. Doc’s music ranges from Jazz, Blues, Country, Funk, Latin, Rock, to Oldies. They play a selection of the best classic standards from the 1930’s to the 1980’s for your listening and dancing pleasure. Admission is $8. This is not a strictly west coast swing venue so good to bring a dance partner with you. Sunday, July 10 is Michelle Kinkaid’s “Second Sunday” Monthly Swing Dance at the Imperial Dance Club in Redwood City from 6-10pm. Lesson at 6pm with Michelle. The DJ music mix is primarily west coast swing and also contains some hustle, night club two step, country two step, waltz, and latin. Michelle Kinkaid is the DJ. Refreshments included. Saturday, July 16, at the WnY Warehouse in Novato from 7:00-11:30 pm is Kelly and Yenni’s MONTHLY DANCE IN MARIN”. Both a beginner and intermediate lesson simultaneously from 7:00-8:00 pm each month. Kelly and Yenni will alternate each month as to who teaches which class. Open dancing from 8:00-11:30pm with your co-DJ’s Yenni and Kelly. Cost is $10 including the lesson. For those under 21, cost is only $7. Sunday, July 17, is the NEW Bayside Swing at the newly reopened Metronome Collective in San Francisco on the Third SUNDAY of the month from 7:00-10:30 pm. Intermediate/Advanced lesson with Connor Goodmanson and Alyssa Glanville from 6-7 pm in the main ballroom. NEW BASIC WCS LESSON WILL PRECEDE EACH BAYSIDE SWING with Kim Sifter teaching from 6-7pm. DJ Mike Pyle then presents a great mix of swing, hustle and more for general dancing. This is a large venue for WCS dancing with a good floor! Friday, July 22, will be the James Moseley Band at Rancho Nicasio. James Moseley is a fun band playing a combination of Motown, Reggae, R&B, Soul and Jazz. Music starts at 8:30pm. $15 cover charge. Saturday, July 23 , will be the Redwood Empire Monthly Swing Dance at Odd Fellows Hall at 545 Pacific Avenue in Santa Rosa. Included at the dance is a free beginner lesson from 7:00-8:00 pm. Saturday, July 23 , is Melissa Rutz’ Swingalicious Volume 3 at Rasselas Jazz Club located at 1534 Fillmore Street in San Francisco (Fillmore at Geary). Ages 21+ only. Beginner/intermediate lesson with Melissa Rutz from 8:00-9:00 pm followed by a dance party with DJ Rachelicious from 9pm-1am. Food available at Rasselas until 11pm. Bring your non-dancing friends. One of the focuses of Swingalicious is to bring new faces into the West Coast Swing community and to have a night where West Coast Swing dancers and “non WCS dancers” can mingle! Monday July 25, National Champion, Melissa Rutz restarts her monthly West Coast Swing Lesson and Dance Party on the fourth Monday only at The Dance Loft, 2475 3rd Street near 22nd Street, Suite #311, San Francisco, CA 94107, 415-846-3154. There will be two classes. Beginning WCS from 7-7:45pm and Intermediate WCS from 7:45-8:30 pm. Dance Party 8:30-11:30pm. Cost (cash only) $20 for two classes including the dance. $15 for one class, $10 Dance Only. Please be aware that since the dance is at a city loft, the front door of the building will be locked. So you’ll have to knock at the door and someone will let you in and guide you upstairs to the loft. There will be someone available at the door around 6:45pm to start letting people in for the lesson. Plenty of street parking. Light Snacks Provided.
